One thing struck me as odd, they retracted the gear on its first
flight. I've never seen that done on bizjet test programs.

What was the little cone shaped thing off the tail during the flight?

I didn't see the picture you saw, but it is not unusual to have a spin recovery
chute installed during flight testing.

Probably a drogue carrying the static port. Allows a static reference
completely separate from the airframe. They'll compare readings of airframe
ports to the drogue reference and select which port(s) are the most accurate.

Yep, Ron, I agree completely, now that I saw the video.

My question is, what is the truss looking structure on the fuselage's tailcone?
Uncovered structure, or something that can be deployed outwards, to act as a
drag brake, or spin stopper?

After watching the video more closely, I'm pretty positive the truss like
structure is indeed holding an anti spin chute.

It looks to be taking a load bearing structure further forward, to pick up the
frames that the engines are supported from.
